Scammell Pioneers

Scammell Lorries built up a reputation in the pre-WW11 years for durable heavy goods vehicles.  When war came they produced a range of six wheel ‘Pioneers’ which were available in short and long wheelbase versions for use with tank transporters or as recovery vehicles.  With six wheel drive, winches and excellent rough ground capability, when demobbed, these were ideal vehicles for showmen.
