What personal data we collect, why we collect it and how long we keep it for
I collect and keep sufficient information about my customers to be able to service their enquiries and orders. As we do not accept payment by credit or debit cards we have no records of them.
As the products I sell and the models people make from them may have an almost infinite life records are kept indefinitely. I also have all the records of the late Vic King’s Model Fair Designs business from its inception until he handed the plans over to John Maundrell at Carousel Crafts, limited records from that time, then complete records from the start of my business in 1987. These records are maintained on record cards or in hand written registers. This allows me to trace the history of models and the parts used in them if required.
You can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. However this will not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Who we share your data with
I never share personal information with any other organisation or individual. I sometimes receive enquiries asking if I can put people in touch. In these cases I do not disclose contact information but pass on the request to the individual concerned to respond or not as they see fit.

How we protect your data
Paper records are retained as long as necessary and then securely recycled. Copies of ‘physical’ letters sent from here are prepared and stored on a computer which does not connect to the internet. Records created from internet correspondence are retained separately from emails and that computer is only connected to the web when in use.
I try to keep the prices shown on the website up to date however since mid 2021 I am seeing unprecedented and frequent price increases from suppliers. Prices charged will be those ruling at the time of receipt of order and not necessarily those shown on the site or on any paper lists. We charge £3.50 per order as a contribution to UK p&p. Overseas and sales items at cost.
