Waltzer

Another ride originating from the 1930’s and still very popular today. The model is based on a nine car 1960’s Maxwell machine with flat ceiling, three hills and a flat back, plain circular rounding boards and canopy over the front steps. The four wheel centre truck features a high quality motor/gear drive which gives quiet operation. Details of multi-channel programmed lighting control are included.
Additional drawing sheets and instructions are available detailing platform and car lighting, though with a rotating centre this is not a simple affair and should be provided for as the ride is built.
In 1/24th scale the model is 640mm (25”) in diameter and in 1/16th scale it is 950mm (37½”) in diameter.
For 1/16th scale I supply seven extra detail sheets which complement the 1/24th scale design which you scale up to suit.

For those who want a Waltzer but do not have the time or skills to build from plans I also produce a simplified waltzer as a complete working kit – see Waltzer kit
