Swingboats in one form or another have been used since the earliest days of the fairground. This model is typical of a six boat adult set. This set is particularly tall with the ridge bar at 18’ above the ground. Pre-cut and machined plasticard is used to give a perfectly scale structure. The boats are very finely cast in resin which is light enough to allow the rides to work. The steps are cast in white metal and the boat rods made from fine brass rod – parts are supplied for a simple jig to ease the forming of the rod ends. A set of etched brass ladders long enough to reach the ridge are supplied with each kit.
