Swingboats in one form or another have been used since the earliest days of the fairground. The models are typical of a four boat juvenile set. Pre-cut and machined plasticard is used to give a perfectly scale structure. The boats are very finely cast in resin which is light enough to allow the rides to work. The steps are cast in white metal and the boat rods made from fine brass rod – parts are supplied for a simple jig to ease the forming of the rod ends. A set of etched brass ladders long enough to reach the ridge are supplied with each kit. (Note adult six bay set shown).
