Mont Blanc

The Airways or Mont Blanc as it was more commonly known was a thirties ride. The ride had two large hills and the cars were supported at the end of arms and able to swing out. The ride gave a fast and exhilarating ride. The model has a four wheel centre truck and uses a similar simple and inexpensive drive mechanism to the Ark.

The design can also be built in 1/16th scale and I can provide one additional drawing to complement the 1/24th scale drawings which the builder scales up to suit.

In 1/24th scale the model is nearly 690mm (27”) x 800mm (32”).

Individual Parts

I supply the following parts for the MFD4 Airways/Mont Blanc model in 1/24th scale.
Worm Shaft bearings – £17 per pair.
Cheese wheel complete with pins – £70.
Aluminium cover ring – £45.
Often available – Meccano part 24 – 8 hole bushwheels – £1.30 each second-hand, but in good condition.
