Plans and instructions for Marenghi fairground organ and trailer
A set of plans and instructions for a large Marenghi fairground organ based upon the magnificent ‘sleigh bell’ organ owned by Mr. A.E.Reed of Amersham. A very detailed model with fitted loudspeaker and lighting. The organ was designed in 1/16th scale to complement the Bandai kit of a Garrett Showmans tractor. Whilst out of production for many years these kits do become available from time to time.
In 1/16th scale the model is 250mm (11”) long x 140mm (5 ½”) high x 100mm (4”) deep; in 1/8th scale the model is 560mm (22”) long x 280mm (11”) high x 200mm (8”) deep.
To go with the Marenghi fairground organ we have a box trailer into which the organ fits. Additional lighting is fitted around the inside of the trailer to illuminate the organ. The instructions include full details of the wiring. This box trailer has full length flaps along the nearside which open to show the organ front. There is also a door in the rear of the body. The roof is removable to allow the organ to be fitted or removed.
In 1/16th scale the trailer is 360mm (14”) x 130mm (5”) and in 1/8th scale the trailer is 710mm (28”) x 250mm (10”).
